Encounter God. Equip Yourself. Enhance Your World. — we exist to help people do all three.
Graceway Baptist Church is a community of believers in Footscray, Melbourne, committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are a ministry of Faith Baptist Church, Fawkner, VIC.
Our name reflects our core conviction: that God's grace is the foundation of everything. It's what saves us, sustains us, and sends us out into the world.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." — Ephesians 2:8
We are a church where the Bible is central, where worship is heartfelt, where community is real, and where everyone is welcome.
To make disciples of Jesus Christ who are deeply rooted in God's Word and actively engaged in His mission to the world.
To be a growing, Christ-centred church that transforms lives through the power of the Gospel in the western suburbs of Melbourne.
Grace • Truth • Community • Prayer • Worship • Service. These guide everything we do.
Graceway is a Baptist church holding to historic, orthodox Christian faith as summarised in Scripture.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God — our supreme guide for faith and life.
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — each fully God.
We believe Jesus is fully God and fully man. He died for our sins, rose bodily, and will return in glory.
We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone — it is God's gift, not our achievement.
We practice believer's baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe the local church is God's primary instrument for His mission — preaching, baptising, and making disciples.
